Review: If you want to draw Oscar enthusiasts to a film, this is the kind of trailer you put together. Plenty of details about the plot, lots of dramatic tension, and an Oscar-nominated actor who is working the performance for all its worth. Based on the trailer, I’m not sure it will appeal beyond that demographic, though.

Oscar Prospects:

Casey Affleck is sure to be a contender for Best Actor, but can the film also make it into other races? That’s all entirely possible. The film has built substantial early buzz. We’ll find out more once people get a chance to see it more widely.
