Review: (#1) While it ties into the back-to-back nature of the framing devices of the trailer, it’s visually unimpressive and isn’t likely to draw any viewers in.
(#2) Not much of an improvement over the prior. You can tell it’s Bradley Cooper, but his fans aren’t instantly going to fall in love with the potential for the movie.
(#3) This design is striking in some regards, but is also literally unfocused, which is a distraction. The subtle color usage in the titling is an interesting decision. (#4) This looks like something pulled from a stage play advertisement and it does little to enthuse the viewer.
Trailer Rating: B+ / A

Review: (#1) A lovely, brief teaser that should put cineastes on notice for its content. This preview makes this seem more like the film’s a spiritual companion to The Aviator than Mank, which is a good thing.
(#2) The first trailer was a solid effort, but this final trailer is a mesmerizingly brilliant one. Using the insistent music of Leonard Bernstein to heighten tension and build to a thrilling finish is a masterstroke, accentuating the images and creating a driving interest in the viewer. Bravo.
Oscar Prospects:
One of the year’s biggest Oscar contenders, Bradley Cooper’s sophomore effort will certainly please Oscar voters.
