Review: (#1) The colors work well together and the layout is efficient, but it also feels a bit cheesy. (#2) That blank white background is distracting and while it gives the sense of snow, it’s entirely lazy. (#3-#9) The lack of focus in the background of these character posters is a bit cheap looking and while it’s nice to have variance between each, they just feel sophomoric. (#10) A Christmas setting with the little women of the title works well enough for the film’s purposes.

Trailer Rating: B

Review: The trailer wants to have everything and presents far too much information to the audience, forcing them to question if it’s a worthwhile venture.

Oscar Prospects:

Now that Greta Gerwig has made it onto the exclusive list of Oscar-nominated directors, Little Women, a beloved book that has been adapted into Oscar consideration before, could be her ticket back to the Academy Awards.
