Review: (#1) if it weren’t such a dull background, the literal concept of “Avengers Assemble” isn’t lost on the viewer and is quite clever. (#2) Then there’s this design with an utter lack of cleverness. Limited comedic elements and a generic backdrop make for an uninspiring view.

Review: There are some nice gags here and there, but for the most part, this trailer is a bit disconcerting. Lego movies have a certain mirth to them that seems to be muted in this trailer, which could make it struggle to find the young audience it’s targeting.
