Review: Unlike the poster design for Dark River, this poster definitely has a sense of place to it. After all, this is a father and daughter living in the woods. It doesn’t entirely explain the pair’s dynamic or the reasons for that isolation, so it isn’t ultimately that valuable.

Review: Apart from Ben Foster’s performance and the possible solid debut of a young actress, this trailer feels overwrought, overdone, and uninspiring.

Oscar Prospects:

Winter’s Bone did better with the Oscars than expected and Ben Foster is long overdue for Oscar recognition. However, I doubt this June release will result in any Oscar consideration.
