Review: (#1, C+) We get the setting and the characters in a compact design that looks perhaps a bit too compressed. Each actor has a different lighting position and shadow, so it’s easy to tell that none of them are where they actually are. That creates a disjointed feeling which may draw some out of the image.

Review: (#1, B-) This neo-noir thriller asks the audience to decide who is the criminal that killed the femme fatale’s husband. The outside detective arrives to try to uncover the culprit but begins to fall into a web of lies and danger. It looks a bit too polished to be genuinely gritty like such features should be but the strong cast gives the viewer hope that it might be different.
