Review: (#1) There’s too much empty space and while it draws the viewer’s attention to the titular red door and the crawling menace, there’s nothing inherently scary of enticing about this effort.

(#2) Keeping the red door motif as the only unifying detail of color against a drab foreground is a nice effort, but the design feels a bit regimented and dull as a result.

Review: (#1) There’s something about this franchise’s trailers that keep viewers coming back for more, but I can’t imagine something this lacking in details bringing in new audience. There are a couple of minor jump moments here, but the narrative feels so dreadfully milquetoast that it’s impossible to see much value in it.

(#2) For a franchise that feels like it’s on its last legs, this trailer feels somewhat fresh at times and that might be just enough to energize viewers. That there isn’t a lot of substance might cause others to shy away.
