Review: (#1, C) An unappealing design with big, blocky letters that don’t tell the audience enough about the film’s premise, or at least not enough to get the viewer excited about it.

Review: (#1, C+) As nice as it is to see Marianne Jean-Baptiste back in a Mike Leigh film, this trailer doesn’t create an engaging portrait. She comes off as aggressive and unrelatable and that puts up a barrier between it and the audience.

Oscar Prospects:

Never discount Mike Leigh. While he doesn’t always get the above-the-line nominations he has in the past, he certainly scores writing nominations if nothing else.
