Review: (#1) It reminds me of the designs used on 1980s horror films and that gives me fond memories, but it’s also not terribly creative either.

(#2) The creepy mask from the trailer makes an appearance along with a birthday cupcake where the candle bleeds red, but the black surrounding it all only isolates the lack of visual creativity on display.

Review: A lot of horror films int he last few years have built themselves on the same concepts and strategies of so many other films. Their trailers feel like carbon copies of just about everything else you’ve seen. While there are elements of that in this trailer, the premise feels fresher and more interesting than it probably should be. This is how you create a largely effective trailer.
