Review: I think this design is supposed to suggest this young girl is lifting her music up for the Lord, but it doesn’t work without knowing what the film is about.

Trailer: C- / C

Review: This looks like a tedious meandering story that’s supposed to call attention to the horrific impact a music career in the real world can have without over-selling its pro-religious elements.

The second trailer is a bit quicker and more appealing, but it also better evokes the sense of religious piety that belies the movie’s one-sided view of success and fame.
