Review: (#1) This scene from the film portrays the film as something distinctly other than what it is. This isn’t a faith-based film and the decision to use such an image is fraught with problems. (#2) Perhaps this idyllic scene would carry more weight if it felt more than lifeless. This is a design that people won’t immediately find interesting enough to form an interest in the film itself.

Review: A film that goes to so much trouble to set itself up as a familial drama goes to great lengths to lessen the impact of those family connections and makes the film look like it might be cheaply introspective and utterly uninstructive.
