Review: This is the kind of film that requires good word of mouth to do well. It’s like an Erin Brockovich without the Julia Roberts selling factor. The idea of a simple man taking on corporate giants isn’t a new one, but this version of that old story seems appealing.

Oscar Prospects:

I don’t know how well this October release will fare with the Academy. It certainly has all the earmarks of a Brockovich, but a lot will depend on how critics react. However, it does seem possible that Greg Kinnear could be in the hunt.
