Review: (#1, C) Tying well into the first trailer, the poster does some of what it needs to do by harkening back to its predecessors but taps out rather quickly with a simplistic effortless design.
Trailer Rating: B- / B-

Review: (#1, B-) While I’m not a fan of trailers that just take a scene from the film and put it on display for the audience, this effort was surprisingly interesting. Conjuring memories of the original horror film series, fans will be enthused by the continued adhesion to its core concepts even after all of these years.
(#2, B-) While there is more background material in this trailer than the preceding, it still focuses on specific sets of slayings. Between the two trailers, there’s some concern that there isn’t much more than this. What’s more interesting about this batch, specifically the set at the backyard barbecue is that there are a couple of bluffs going on that the viewer things will result in the death but which ultimately don’t…at least not in what we’ve seen. It’s an intriguing effort to set up its creativity and that may be enough to draw an audience.
Oscar Prospects:
None.
