Review: (#1, B+) This visually striking design starves for background details but is otherwise stunning and draws the viewer in with ease. How emblematic of the film itself it is remains the question. (#2-#4) These character posters Take the floral element of the main design but rely on none of the rest, which makes them feel a bit dull.
(#5-#7, C+) This trio of designs employs unique colors and formats for each character but have overbearing black backgrounds that diminish the contents.
Trailer Rating: B- / B+

Review: (#1, B-) While it would be nice to say this film looks smashing, it doesn’t. It looks rather dull. The music adds to the impression that it could be wonderful and daring but the storyline is so vague and unrepresentative that there isn’t quite enough to engage with.
(#2, B+) The music helps sell the film successfully. There’s a modicum of tension but the compulsion is entirely in the beats of the film combined with some reference to the performances of the lead trio. If there’s an issue, it’s the excessive use of critical praise as it makes the film seem a bit too high-minded for audiences who might otherwise give it a chance from the rest of the content.
Oscar Prospects:
With its four actors winning the joint prize for Best Actress at Cannes, the film has to be considered something of a contender. That said, its style isn’t something the Academy usually embraces, so it could be dicey and several critics prizes might be needed to keep it in the running.
