Review: The pink sunglasses makes absolutely no sense, even within the context of the trailer, making this a missed opportunity.

Review: The trailer might feel light on narrative information, but by its end, the impetus of the film is easily identifiable. Mix in visually daring photography and you have a film that should easily appeal to cineastes even if modern audiences will turn their noses up at the black-and-white effort.

Oscar Prospects:

Pablo Larrain has generated some Oscar buzz in the past and although this is a vampire movie, that cinematography is gorgeous.
