Review: (#1) It’s large and specific, but lacks a sense of humanity. It tries to suggest this isn’t your run of the mill sports movie, which may be a throw back to the likes of Cool Runnings, except not nearly as compelling. (#2) Without Hugh Jackman’s visage, the poster doesn’t have a lot of hope to appeal to a broad cross-section of fans. However, it is an inventive design that looks surprisingly rich in spite of the vast white background.

Review: Hitting every expected note in an uplifting sports drama, Disney is pulling out the stops to try and sell this as a tincture for the winter blues. Inspirational sports narratives are a dime a dozen, especially from Disney, so there’s something still a little unsettled about this.
Oscar Prospects:
None.
