Review: (#1) Stack all the characters and give them a blank background and it all looks impressively dull. (#2) A design with lots of details can be better than one without, but a design with a lot of chaotic details and no definition is not. (#3-#10) The laziest batch of character posters ever. Apart from a name change at the top and a character change, the designs are all identical and that’s a bad decision. (#11) Another dull IMAX design that might appeal to the core audience, but won’t appeal to anyone else.

Trailer Rating: D / C

Review: (#1) A trailer for fans of the franchise that doesn’t seem interested in bringing in potential new viewers. And yet, it’s strangely still rather dull, narrative-lite, and incapable of making a case for a big screen roll out.

(#2) The first trailer was certainly designed for fans only, but this trailer better lays out the premise, though it’s overly focused on the chaos and runs far too long. While it may better appeal to non-fans, it might not make the film more successful.

Oscar Prospects:

None.
