Review: (#1) The star motif doesn’t make sense, the dull backdrop is thankfully minimized, but the fighter pilot central image looks to impress, but doesn’t.

(#2) The star motif is more compellingly implemented and there are some notable background details, but it also looks fairly cut-and-paste stylistically and the figure standing and the simplicity of the background elements make for an effort that feels staid.

Review: (#1 & #2) The only reason the second trailer outperforms the first is that it doesn’t spend much time on the psyching-himself-up framing device of the first trailer. The end result is a film that looks decidedly familiar and not distinctive enough to be interesting.

(#3) The constant attempts to redefine the film is nice to see as trailers shouldn’t look terribly identical, but this one is overly focused on the action and less interested in the drama, which is what makes the film’s premise just a little interesting. The wrong way to go from the prior effort.
