Release Date:

Synopsis:
From IMDb: “If the worst day of your life consisted of accidentally killing your girlfriend with an axe, chain-sawing your own arm off, and watching in horror as your closest friends were devoured by a zombified Nazi battalion, you’d have to assume that things couldn’t get much worse. In Martin’s case, that was only the beginning.”
Poster: B / C+ / C
Review: (#1) If you know the premise of the original film or even have watched the trailer, this design has a visual impact that is unmistakable. Add to that the arm element that plays an important role early in the trailer and it has even more resonance. (#2) This design hasn’t got the obvious symbolism or creativity of the first, but it uses colors that are striking, which will help draw the eye to it. (#3) This plays off the designs for the original film, which doesn’t necessarily make it better.
Trailer: C+
Review: The imagination of the original film isn’t as abundantly fascinating in the sequel, but the tongue-in-cheek-cavity lunacy is almost contagious. Fans of the original will be very interested. Everyone else may wonder what the hell they’re watching. That could be a satisfactory marketing tool.
Oscar Prospects:
None.
Revisions:
