Synopsis:

From IMDb: “The apparent ‘suicide’ of a sewage cleaner leads to the arrest of Dalit activist/folk singer. The 65-year old is held on grounds of abetting the suicide through his lyrics. The film follows the personal lives of the Judge, the Public Prosecutor & the activist’s lawyer as the case meanders its away across months courtesy of numerous excuses and delays.”

Poster: B+

Review: If you haven’t watched the trailer or know the premise, this design just doesn’t have much weight, but with the sewer element of the design prevalent in the film’s narrative, it’s a far better example of the film’s subject than most indie film designs of late.

Trailer: B-

Review: This trailer doesn’t go very far. It has some intriguing elements, but it takes its time getting anywhere and underplays the abject ludicrousness of the situation in which the lead character is placed. It appears to be part dark comedy, but that’s not entirely clear with this design.

Oscar Prospects:

If submitted for Best Foreign Language Film, it could be a nominee. A win seems unlikely at this juncture.
