Synopsis:

Review: Looking at the first design, I’m not quite sure what the artists were intending, which makes it a frustrating decision. The second two are a little more interesting, but lose something without having seen the trailer, which sets them up as exploration of the mysterious chest filled with curios briefly referenced in the trailer.

Trailer: C / C+

Review: The teaser is overflowing with praise from critics, which doesn’t have quite the impact it should or that the producers desire, especially with the confusing blue-to-pink changing pellets. The full trailer does a better job setting up the film, but paints it less as a science fiction film as the advertising indicates and more a post-apocalyptic horror film similar to The Purge. That kind of brand confusion may make it hard to sell the movie.
