Review: A somewhat saccharine family film about a kid who discovers the mythical chupacabra is real and tries to protect it from those who would abuse or destroy it. This kind of movie has been made in various incarnations ever since E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial perfected it, but it lacks that film’s charm, much like most of the other imitators.
