Synopsis:
From IMDb: “A guy falls for a woman who’s claimed by a violent crime boss.”
Poster: B+ (2) / B
Review: An interesting blend of water colors to create two designs similar in theme, but different in ideology. The first design with the upside down man tethered by the heart is a bit more appropriate to the film’s theme than the second with the man dangling from an eyelash, but the second design is more fascinating.
The awkward nature of the second poster is distracting at first, but reveals the tumult in the mind and heart of the film’s protagonist and does with a fresh canvas that departs from most poster designs currently employed to sell movies.
Trailer: B
Review: The hectic, frenzied trailer establishes the life-or-death struggle of our protagonist with the unfortunate name. It solidifies the thrilling nature the film is promising and easily evinces its themes of the perseverance of love at all costs.
Oscar Prospects:
None.
