Review: (#1) This Batman homage is unimpressive and feature a dismally dull color palette. (#2) More of the same and adding a more fully displayed character doesn’t help.

Review: This looks like something that might have emerged from BlueSky animation, not the once great DreamWorks. The film looks like a disappointment in many ways from vocal work to animation to story. It may appeal to the youngest of kids, but adults aren’t likely to be impressed.

Oscar Prospects:

It’s all about whether DreamWorks can translate its sophomore-looking effort into an Oscar nomination. They haven’t done very well with the Oscars lately, so it’s possible the film gets overlooked.
