Review: (#1, C+) The Title seems unnecessarily large but it seems designed to draw your attention away from the repetitiveness of the upper two-thirds of the poster. You may still need to view the trailer before fully understanding but the symbol in the water ties in nicely. Simplistic without being clever.

Trailer Rating: C / B

Review: (#1, C) Just like you don’t want to give away too much about your horror film that will scare the viewer, you don’t want them to fail to understand the concept. If the audience cannot dig into the idea and imagine all of the possibilities, they aren’t likely to find interest in the film itself. This trailer meanders through its narrative without giving cues that will excite and entice the viewer.

(#2, B) The first trailer didn’t make a lot of sense but now that the mysterious elements are thrown in and the psychological horror elements are infused, it seems like a much more intriguing concept for a film. It still feels under-acted but at least the premise is a little more inviting.

Oscar Prospects:

None.
