Review: (#1) This looks like a cheap attempt to copy the googly-eyes design of Everything Everywhere All at Once and doesn’t even remotely succeed.
(#2) The attempt to make the lighting feel appropriate for the figures’ positions works fairly well, but the design is quite boring still.
Trailer Rating: C+ / B-

Review: (#1) A trailer that wants to seem unique and avant-garde really needs to step up the uniqueness. This is a preview that looks like so many other slasher films without emphasizing its uniqueness. The attempt to make this a Zennial-focused horror film doesn’t come off well and existing fans of the genre aren’t going to have their interests piqued.
(#2) The ’80s horror vibe almost works with this latest trailer. Although we don’t get much more information than the prior preview, it feels like a more cohesive product. That said, they are giving the fake out killer too much credence with this design, which might depress actual interest in the film.
Oscar Prospects:
None.
