Review: The design does an adequate job approximating Monroe’s look, but it’s just too big and the titling blends too easily into the background. There are also some airbrushing issues.

Review: (#1) As far as teasers go, this is a solid one. Built on a single line repeated periodically, we get the impression that the film is a deeply troubling look at the life of Marilyn Monroe while still giving the audience a feel of it being something they need to see as fans of hers.

Oscar Prospects:

My Week with Marilyn previously explored an aspect of Monroe’s life and got Michelle Williams an Oscar nomination for playing her. Ana de Armas, in this brief peak, could well follow in that path if the film is any good.
