Review: It’s generic and just a bit cheesy (that angel at the top is just tacky). This almost looks like a scene from The Wiz, which isn’t a comparison they probably want.

Trailer: B

Review: It’s a stirring musical arrangement and the film will most certainly appeal to the target demographic. I just hope it has cross-over appeal as the trailer doesn’t make it look like too terrible a film.

Oscar Prospects:

The film has that uplifting undercurrent that could play well with Academy members and with Oscar winners and nominees in the cast, it could be a solid contender if it turns out to be any good.
