Review: (#1, B-) While the structure is a bit predictable, the title insets are solid and the use of color is outstanding. Not a great or inventive design but appealing. (#2-#5 & #7-#8, C) These format-set designs are all mediocre, only one of them stands out and it’s none of these six. (#6, B-) The D-Box design is the only one that has any style or panache and while it’s still as simplistic as the others, it’s an interesting design that easily draws the viewer’s attention. (#9, C+) While it’s similar to the first design, it is significantly less detailed and thereby less interesting, especially with the weak color scheme.

Review: (#1, C-) The unrepentant Will Smith hopes to revive his stalled career with another in the petering-out series of Bad Boys films. The last effort was popular enough but after Smith’s antics at the Oscars, slapping the host, it might not be the result he wanted. If only he had made a show of going to anger management counseling. This is not anger management counseling.
(#2, C+) Action-heavy and plodding at the same time. This is a story that feels both lethargic and energetic and that is a strange dichotomy for a franchise that needs to turn out its base fans in the wake of the Will Smith slapping scandal. For a film that features someone who used to be one of the biggest stars in the world, he’s certainly given very little solo glory. I wonder why…
Oscar Prospects:
None.
