Review: (#1, C+) The poster is very simplistic, but cuddling a baby black jaguar is going to get a lot of attention from the Cute Crowd and that in itself is a selling point. (#2, C) A nice, idyllic background but the hazy effects and the unnecessary smallness of the panther won’t sell the film particularly well. (#3, B-) The beauty of the locales is a selling point, the size of the black jaguar is correct and the arrangement of figures works well. It’s a solid effort that could have used with fewer touch-ups. (#4, C) While there’s some cuteness here, the size ratios are still not good and the jungle framing is cheaply produced. (#5, C) While the jaguar is cute in a way, the staginess of the whole design feels uninviting.
Trailer Rating: C+

Review: (#1, C+) For a film like this, there’s not much one can do to make it look like anything more than a generic kids film with cute animals, brazen stories, and an environmental approach that should appeal to some viewers. It’s not a very exciting trailer but it will work for its needs.
Oscar Prospects:
None.
