Review: (#1) It’s all a bit obvious and there isn’t anything else to it.
(#2) Titularly fitting, but otherwise uninspired. (#3) This design, while an improvement over the prior, looks like it’s trying far too hard to be creepy and then not succeeding.
Trailer Rating: B / B / C+

Review: (#1 & #2) These two trailer designs, each unique in their structure and style, do a lot of heavy lifting on making this film look compelling. The first one focuses on the young boy telling a creepy story that seems to parallel his own life and the other using an aural beat that increases in detail and intensity as the trailer moves towards its conclusion. These efforts make for a most fascinating pair.
(#3) Unfortunately, the second trailer doesn’t do anything interesting and ends up being more shrill and frustrating than enticing.
Oscar Prospects:
None.
