Review: (#1) It has a light reference to the other films, both literally and visually, but none of it is interestingly done.

(#2) A design that reminds the viewer of some of the interesting designs of the 1970s and 1980s while be overly flush with red colors and less with more inviting ones. (#3) I hope this is something from the film, otherwise, it feels like it’s entirely out of left field and that’s not an interesting place to be.

Review: (#1) For fans of the Conjuring films, this trailer brings the prequel series Annabelle fully into the rest of the Conjuring universe. Fans will be enthused, but no one else will be.

(#2) There isn’t much beyond the first trailer here, except a longer glimpse of the Conjuring duo telling the audience that this is a unification of spin-off and original. That’s not enough to create excitement in non-fans.
