Review: (#1) A simple design that tells a lot about the film simply, though with perhaps too little embellishment. (#2) The titling is far too large and dwarfs the central image without adding anything of genuine visual impressiveness. (#3) Unlike the first two designs, that focused on the death at the focus of the film, this shows the husband and wife in a pleasurable setting, but the empty red background glares and the content of the film is ill-referenced.

Review: A good way to intrigue the viewer is to get your mystery in at the top and then seed interest and doubt along the way. This trailer largely does that with minimal embellishment, which might hinder its case for widespread interest, but will encourage the target audience sufficiently.

Oscar Prospects:

It was big at Cannes this year, but it doesn’t seem like the kind of film the Academy truly embraces. We’ll have to see.
