Review: (#1) A simple, but dull poster with a title and some actors plus a seemingly irrelevant sun symbol.

(#2) It has some nice color usage, but feels like a cheap attempt at creativity. (#3-#17) This series of character posters has some character, but not enough variance. (#18) It’s too similar to the first design and utterly feels cheaply produced. (#19) It’s not far removed from the prior design, just expanded a bit and while a little more visually appealing, it’s still rather cheap-looking.

Trailer Rating: C

Review: When you have a star-studded cast and you’re this far out of release, it might behoove you to highlight the cast better and not wait until the end to get them involved. Sure, the attempt is made, but the premise is so dreadfully uninteresting that the rest of the preview just lacks energy.

Oscar Prospects:

David O. Russell’s been on hiatus for awhile and now has more baggage than he did when he was the belle of the Oscar ball. This one could still be a contender in spite of that.
