Review: (#1) This is supposed to be a children’s film and the character is supposed to be warm, fuzzy, and approachable. This design doesn’t give that impression, looking almost frightening. (#2) Less frightening, but no less unappealing than the prior design. (#3) It’s almost identical to designs they used for How to Train Your Dragon, so it doesn’t feel original and the flowery framing doesn’t make it better.
(#4) Wonder comes in unimpressive packages with this design that employs a broadly uninteresting purplish hue. (#5) Even if this scene comes directly from the film, it doesn’t feel very impressive. (#6) While not entirely confusing, this cloudy design tries to create wonder without seeming too uninspired. (#7) The colors here work somewhat well together, but the overall image doesn’t have a lot of depth.

Review: As conventional as this trailer is, the adorable premise, and emotional connectiveness the audience should feel to this film should help bolster its chances at the box office.
Oscar Prospects:
DreamWorks has a solid, though uneven history with Best Animated Feature, so it could contender or it might be ignored.
