Synopsis:
From IMDb: “Private investigator Matthew Scudder is hired by a drug kingpin to find out who kidnapped and murdered his wife.”
Poster: B- (4)
Review: (#1) It’s a cheesy, overplayed motif and when the film title exacerbates the problem, one can’t help but wonder why they stuck so closely to it. (#2-#4) The subsequent posters share design aspects with the original with only slight differences between them. None are distinctive enough to merit separate consideration.

Review: Interesting narrative threads risk derailment by setting this up as a classic Liam Neeson, Gruff Hunter storyline. That frustration aside, this looks like it has the potential to be better than it looks.
Oscar Prospects:
This could finally be the vehicle to nab Liam Neeson a nomination for his late-career renaissance. The film will have to be good, though. If it is, it could also manage a few other nominations to with Neeson’s.
Revisions:

(September 14, 2014) New Posters (#2-#4)
