Synopsis:

From IMDb: “A SIMPLE FAVOR, directed by Paul Feig, centers around Stephanie (Anna Kendrick), a mommy vlogger who seeks to uncover the truth behind her best friend Emily’s (Blake Lively) sudden disappearance from their small town. Stephanie is joined by Emily’s husband Sean (Henry Golding) in this stylish thriller filled with twists and betrayals, secrets and revelations, love and loyalty, murder and revenge.”

Review: (#1) The white space can be forgiven thanks to the modestly inventive use of color panels forming a question mark with images of import to the film within. (#2) This might have more importance once the film is seen, but as a sales tool, it’s woefully under-representative.

(#3-#5) These three posters share a distinctive theme that sets it apart, even if simplistically, from everything else in the marketplace. (#6) A chaotic design that, like its predecessor, is uncommon in the cinematic marketplace. That makes it far and away more interesting than much of what’s out there. (#7) The pink and blue aesthetic has served this film well with another poster that digs into it with gusto creating something unique even if there is too much blank space. (#8) There’s still chaos here, but it’s tamped down in favor of simpler lines. It’s no less distinctive, but also not significantly more interesting.

Review: The trailer asks a simple question, but presents it in a far-from straight-forward way and really asks the audience if they are curious what happened and for the most part our answer is yes.
