Synopsis:
From IMDb: “Sam and Jonathan, a pair of hapless novelty salesman, embark on a tour of the human condition in reality and fantasy that unfold in a series of absurdist episodes.”
Poster: D / B- / C+
Review: (#1) Why is it that American poster designs are so bland and uninteresting. (#2) This is especially true when you compare it to the absurd design used for the second and third posters. The second is far more reflective of the weirdness that the film conveys through its trailer. (#3) While this doesn’t quite capture the essence of the film, it’s at least a little more visually compelling than a Forrest Gump feather.
Trailer: B
Review: You can’t help but wonder at how bonkers this film looks. Each scene is brilliantly composed, but the purpose is murky, which may help make the film appealing to those who want a mental challenge or at least an exercise in the absurd.
Oscar Prospects:
None.
