Review: (#1-#4) This series of “character” posters are just cute dog photos with the main character’s feet at different stages in live on display. The vacant white background doesn’t aid their distinctiveness.
(#5) Appealing from an animal lover’s perspective, but the design is utterly generic. (#6) Cute like the prior, but still rudimentary. (#7) Other than the orange banner at the bottom, this is the same style as the first four character poster with the exception of swapping feet and a dog from different designs.
Trailer Rating: B-

Review: The sequel to A Dog’s Purpose follows the same dog as his current life is fading and a falling out between father and daughter sends him off to comfort his owner’s granddaughter as she grows up, reincarnating at regular intervals. The sappiness of the original certainly looks to be present again, but at what cost?
Oscar Prospects:
None.
