Review: (#1) Displaying the film title before the rebuild of it to appeal to a more discerning demographic, this hyper generic family photo isn’t that interesting. (#2) Another design with the old title, this one a little more interesting than the previous, but it’s perhaps too simplistic and utterly lacks the details needed to attract the target demographic. (#3) This Italian poster is all sorts of generic and might give credence to call this film 3 Generics. White background, overly manipulated faces. It all works together in such a mediocre fashion. (#4) While this is more colorful and interesting in terms of design formatting, it’s no less patently generic and uninspiring.

Review: Using the tagline from one of the posters, the film is about a family in transition. It’s not an evocative transition and the comedy is dull in many places. While these are all genuinely terrific actresses, the material looks overly simple and unnecessarily dull.
Oscar Prospects:
There might be some chatter for this May release, thanks to the extra visibility of the transgender movement; however, the film has been on the back burner for two years, early reviews haven’t been good and Weinstein Company has a lot of late-year priorities that will upend this film’s chances.
