Today, the Academy announced 10 animated short films that will compete for three to five nomination slots. I’m not very familiar with animated shorts, so I couldn’t tell you what’s been left off, but the Pixar release is always a strong contender for a nomination. Also look out for the Warner Bros. animated short.

As a point of reference, We Were Here is the only title on this list I have seen so far this year.
