Synopsis:

Review: (#1 & #2) These posters are almost entirely identical using almost the exact same image with the English-language version feeling softer and more inviting.

(#3) Following the image selection of the prior designs, this new one does yet another thing different: it changes the background to a pink explosion. That doesn’t make it that much better. (#4-#6) These three posters, while not all character designs (the first two would qualify), they each share similar coloration and structure, neither of which is particularly exciting.

Review: The trailer doesn’t perfectly encapsulate the film, but it does give enough information to audiences to decide whether they want to see it or not. Unfortunately, that means that only a small subset of the movie-going populace is likely to give it a shot.

Oscar Prospects:

France’s submission for the 90th Academy Awards has a decent shot of earning the nomination. Winning will be a challenge, but depending on how it’s received by critics, it could be a frontrunner.
