Synopsis:
From IMDb: “Set against the backdrop of 1960s San Francisco, BIRTH OF THE DRAGON is a modern take on the classic movies that Bruce Lee was known for. It takes its inspiration from the epic and still controversial showdown between an up-and-coming Bruce Lee and kung fu master Wong Jack Man – a battle that gave birth to a legend.”

Review: (#1) A solid color palette combined with a nice balance to the overall design creates a striking composition even if it has a lot of vacant space. (#2) The colors are adequate, but everything feels generic, an attempt to create direct-to-video box art. (#3) Overused color scheme, dull composition, and awful block lettering. The three don’t combine well.

Review: This film is supposed to be about the rise of Bruce Lee, yet it looks more like a film about a white guy helping get him to that point. A very western take on the famed martial arts actor and that’s not a good thing.
Oscar Prospects:
None.
