Review: (#1) A lifeless backdrop may accentuate the helmet-wearing protagonist, but it doesn’t make for an interesting design. (#2-#8) The same can be said of the character posters which don’t feature the characters, but caricatures of them, which doesn’t make them that much more interesting.
(#9) It’s like most of the other designs, but without something that makes it unique or special. The monochromatic background seems especially pointless.
(#10) Another take on the original designs that have been all but impressive. (#11) A fascinating, water color-styled design that might suffer in the lack of background detail, but makes up for that with a bit of creativity. (#12) A drawn design that lacks specificity or visually daring detail. (#13) We’re back to the original lifeless designs. (#14) More of the same. (#15) We’ve finally escaped the dull light blue motif and tried to make things look more realistic. The problem is that it looks inauthentic as a result. That they appear to have PhotoShopped some aspect of Jacob Tremblay’s face or helmet makes everything feel out of place.
Trailer Rating: C+ / C

Review: (#1) At what point does a film shift from life-affirming drama to saccharine-drenched fluff? This trailer shows us very quickly how to make a movie look like a waste of talent while being about a very important subject.
(#2) Every frame of this trailer oozes faux sentimentality, an attempt at inspiration that feels more like claptrap than genuine emotional connectiveness.
Oscar Prospects:
Some think that Julia Roberts could be a contender, but the film looks like harmless, sugary fluff, so I’m not sure it has much of an opportunity.
