Review: (#1) This poster doesn’t match anything in the trailer, which begs the question: what does it mean? I’m not entirely sure. It’s an interesting design, but a lack of connection to the film damages its value.
(#2) Although the first poster’s problem was that it didn’t sync up well to the first trailer (it does now), this one has more in common with the first trailer than the second. Combined, neither is particularly exciting, but they are distinctive enough to draw the attention of curious passers-by.
(#3) It’s possible this design is intended to look like a photo you might have taken inside a photo booth. The whole effect is rather lifeless.
Trailer Rating: C- / C

Review: (#1) There are no new ideas under the sun. It’s how you approach them that makes them different. This trailer suggests a concept that wasn’t approached differently enough.
(#2) The film doesn’t look that much more interesting. It’s conventional in its attempts to feel uncontroversial. The statements of various respected critics mutes some of that criticism, but a better trailer is definitely needed.
Oscar Prospects:
None.
