Review: (#1-#5) Five very creepy characters with cheap, but individual, shaded monochromatic backdrops does not sell the film well at all.

(#6-#9) These character posters, which actor names attached, are about as unappealing as the first batch. (#10-#11) These group designs will best sell the film to the audience and that’s what’s needed. They aren’t rich in background detail, but there’s enough here to entice young viewers, the only ones who can make this movie a hit.

(#12) All the emojis are here and they look somewhat excited, but that’s it. Nothing to see here. (#13) The same as the previous, but with a few more emojis to spare and surprisingly less of interest.

Trailer Rating: D / C+

Review: (#1) No one will know more about this movie coming out of the trailer than going in. It’s dull, almost humorless. The characters aren’t particularly interesting and the “shit” reference at the end only heightens the viewer’s belief that it is indeed what the film will be.

(#2) We finally get an examination of the plot and it’s at least something that will resonate with young audiences and, were it less cheaply kid-oriented, might also do decently well with adults. There still isn’t a lot of great humor here, but it’s sufficient.

Oscar Prospects:

None.
