Review: (#1) An interesting, if modestly disturbing design that doesn’t have the context to move beyond the collector space. (#2) While the poster is limited in its color palette, there is some bold staging at work that prevents it from being too easily forgotten. (#3) The geisha aesthetic has certain appeal to certain audiences, but not sufficiently to defend the overall design as a piece of advertisement.

Review: The plot is a bit murky in the trailer, but that’s more than made up for by the stylish quietness. It’s a film that has a lot of hints of subtle splendor, without fully selling them.
Oscar Prospects:
The film wasn’t submitted for Oscar consideration, so its release might yield some creative nominations, but that’s extremely doubtful.
