Review: (#1) Commonplace, boring, and ineffectual. A poster like this suggests the creatives aren’t trying very hard. (#2) A more visually interesting design than its predecessor, this art piece has some interesting visual connections to the film, but uses an overly familiar design aesthetic, which might not be that appealing ultimately.
(#3) It’s the first design in French rather than English. Still nothing to see here.
Trailer Rating: C

Review: A draining, lugubrious trailer that doesn’t pull out any stops trying to convince the audience it must check the film out. With a film that got as much buzz as it did out of Cannes, one would think they’d do a better job of trying to sell the film.
Oscar Prospects:
Jim Jarmusch isn’t an Oscar darling and while the film debuted to strong support, I doubt that will translate to Oscar recognition.
