Review: The egotism on Miles Teller’s face is enough to turn one off the film immediately. Considering his string of recent flops, that kind of impression isn’t the right one to be giving.

Review: While the opening of the trailer makes one want to turn away in disgust at the egocentric prick on display, the trailer shifts quickly in tone and promise for the remainder. There are still some questionable cuts, but overall, it appears to be a more interesting drama than initially appeared.

Oscar Prospects:

I’m sure some will position this as some Rocky for a new generation, but I remain unimpressed so far and I don’t know that it will have the legs needed to make it to the top.
