Review: How often do audiences see the reflection in sunglasses of some thematic element that doesn’t work. Too often and this is another retread of that concept.

Review: (#1) The trailer presents a simple story about an undercover assignment inside a massive drug cartel. That it doesn’t create a sense of urgency has nothing to do with its setting in the past.
(#2) This trailer does have a bit more excitement, but it doesn’t seem to want the audience to be too entertained. The story feels a bit flat and performances a bit perfunctory. This is how you make a trailer that appeals to everyone and no one at the same time.
Oscar Prospects:
None.
